This year is going to be an exciting new year for the Lafayette Farm Toy Show and Sale. In its 32nd year, you’ll see many of the same familiar faces from years past as well as some new friends and new events. With 2010 comes a new year, new management, and a new location. After many years of running the show, the former hosts have decided to step down and hand the reigns over to someone else. Alan and Leesa Chesnut will be the new hosts. This is not the first show that they have been involved in running. During his college years, Alan helped run a one day show located in Danville, Illinois which is still run by the DACC Ag Club. Since 2005, Alan and Leesa have helped establish and run the Illini Farm Toy Show located in Champaign-Urbana, IL held each January. Along with the new management comes a new location. In 2009, the Show was postponed due to a hotel closure at the last minute. This new location was chosen due to the centralized location and easy access for those in State and in the surrounding states. In three hours or less, you can be in Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. The new location also has plenty of space allowing for new events. One such event is a model and display contest, sponsored by Toytractortimes.com . Make your plans now to attend the 2010 Lafayette Farm Toy Show and Sale |
